How can I get into PvP without losing everything?

Start cheap and start with a group.

• Fly T1 frigates and destroyers. They are inexpensive and teach the fundamentals: range, speed, and tackle.
• Join corp roams. Following an experienced fleet commander teaches more in one night than weeks alone.
• Expect to lose ships. Every loss teaches something if you ask what went wrong.

In GFVX, T1 ships lost on corp operations are replaced free through SRP, and the corp provides cheap T1 ships and fits for most corp events.
