Do I really need to join a player corporation? Isn't the starter corp fine?

You can stay in the starter (NPC) corporation, and some players do. But you miss the parts of EVE that keep most people playing: fleets, shared projects, and people who answer your questions.

A good player corp gives you a home, a buyback, fits, and friends to fly with. In GFVX, recruiting is a conversation with a human recruiter. There is no skill-point minimum, no API check, and no mandatory voice. Real life comes first, and there are no activity quotas.
