Are wormholes too dangerous for a new player?

They are dangerous, but very manageable with good habits and a group.

• Bookmark the wormhole you came in through the moment you enter.
• Use directional scan constantly. There is no local chat in wormholes, so dscan is how you see who is around.
• Fly cheap ships and take nothing you cannot afford to lose.
• Go with your corp first. GFVX members use the Pathfinder mapper, so the chain is mapped and someone knows the way home.

Many pilots find wormholes the most exciting part of EVE.
