The 5.5 Billion ISK Scout Lesson

A member lost a 2.5 billion ISK Machariel and a 3 billion ISK pod in nullsec. The lesson: bring a scout.

A GFVX member took a 2.5 billion ISK Machariel into nullsec and met the sort of combat that makes a fleet story instantly unforgettable. The ship was lost. So was a 3 billion ISK pod.

The pilot did not know a scout was needed for that trip. In nullsec, information is as valuable as firepower, and a scout can see trouble before the expensive ship commits.

It was epic combat and an expensive education. We would rather carry the lesson forward than pretend the loss never happened.

Before the big ship goes, send the scout.
